There are all sorts of lies and myths that surround PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising and some of them seem to be both true and untrue. The reason for the seeming contradiction has to do with who is doing the talking. Advertisers who aren't faring well are the ones who tend to think that their experiences are the only truth. The simple truth is that their failures were the result of them not taking the time to actually figure it all out. Hence, you will hear all manner of negative press from them about why it is rigged, too costly and other inaccuracies. Making money with PPC is possible...after you've gone through the learning curve and learned how to properly stay on track.

It has often been explained that you can send the search engines a message by using your spending limits. You must have the capability to put down what you want the CPC to be for all of your keywords. It is our belief that these prices should be more than what you usually have to pay. In addition, make sure that you closely follow your campaign starting from day one. The reason for setting higher CPC is that it is easier to revise downward than upward, sometimes. There have been times when we had a much more difficult time gaining ground with a higher keyword CPC. You will always have the opportunity to make changes once you get a feel for what you want to do.

There will be times in which you should not concentrate so much on the traffic that is predicted by Google. The AdWords traffic estimator has a reputation for underestimating traffic. It always sees traffic that we never see. So make sure that you utilize more than one resource to check your traffic estimates. When you do this this way, you will get a more accurate snapshot of what you market is behaving and can make decisions on what you see.

If you are still a new PPC advertiser, you must grow patience. When you breeze through in order to go live and get cash, you most likely will not make good decisions. That is a sure recipe for losing money and generally missing important items. Whenever your campaigns are live, you have to be patient and wait for info to be gathered. However, get in the habit of checking your campaign numbers at least twice a day. You will be in the mix, if you see some unusual take place.

If you are very new to PPC advertising, then just focus on learning from a good source of information. When you are creating your campaign, be careful that you do not neglect your landing page. You do need to consider your entire campaign from beginning to end on your landing page. You want your landing page and site to be sticky, and that will work to your favor.
