If you're trying to make money as an affiliate marketer, there are some basic steps you have to complete to even get started. Having your application to an affiliate network rejected is one of the discouraging experiences that's quite common to people starting out in this business. If you want to get accepted by affiliate networks, you have to convince them that you're knowledgeable and experienced at affiliate marketing (whether this is true or not), and the following are some ways you can achieve this.

Get a Company Name: You can always apply to affiliate networks as an individual, but if you want to increase your chances of getting accepted, then get a company name that makes you look much more legitimate. Affiliate networks are concerned about people who sign up and use fraudulent techniques, and this is usually done by individuals rather than companies. Naturally, this one tactic won't ensure that your application will be approved, but it can help your chances. It all boils down to your approach and how you move forward. Using a company name gives you another chance to re-apply to any networks who may not have accepted you when you applied as an individual.

The Kind of Offers You'll be Promoting: You should be prepared to tell the affiliate network what kind of offers you intend to promote for them. This is one question that it's preferable not to answer in a way that's too specific. In other words, don't limit your options; tell the affiliate manager that you're interested in any offer that converts well. This is an answer that most networks will be glad to hear, as they want to push high converting offers, and don't want affiliates who have a rigid attitude and only want to promote in one area. This is the sort of answer that will make you look like a seasoned affiliate, which is what the networks prefer.

You have to let them know that you have things together, and believe it or not but a fully filled-out application will add to that. If you're not able to do this, at least fill it out as much as you can. The person reviewing your application will get a better feeling about you when everything is filled out properly and clear. Some applications have optional fields, which you can skip, but if you want to increase the chances of your approval then ensure that you fill them out too. What you want them to think is you know what you are doing and are legitimate. However, don't just make up stuff to look good - be genuine in your approach.

All in all, getting accepted in an affiliate network is no big deal if you know what you're doing. Just review the above points and don't leave anything out.
