This company was purchased by Intel on August 19, 2010 with a price money of $7.68 billion. The services provided by Mcafee secure are Data Protection, Database Security, Email & Web Security, Endpoint Protection, Mobile Security, Network Security, Risk & Compliance, Security-as-a-Service, and Security Management. Since its foundation there has been many ups and downs for MacAfee Secure. In spite of this MacAfee Secure is still the leading data securing the company. Mcafee Secure aims to provide their customers with utmost security.<br />

With the passage of time McAfee Secure has achieved in diversifying itself from just client-based antivirus software to other security based product lines by incorporating in their system network desktop encryption methods. On April2, 2003 got hold of IntruVert Networks with the help of which they could focus on intrusion prevention. It included the feature of not only detecting malicious attacks but also blocking them. McAfee Security has included the features of firewall, file encryption, and public key infrastructure in their product lines.<br />

The product lines released by McAfee Secure were incorporated with passive intrusion blocking system. This could just include detecting and reporting about the threats or blocking them if the situation calls for. They also ensured all possible ways for upgrading their software they launched in the market. McAfee Secure also bought Site Advisor that warned users from downloading articles from sites which were infected with malware or spam. McAfee Secure also bought Safe Boot which at once was leading providers of encryption software.<br />

With the help of Sentrigo acquisition McAfee Secure could exercise its power on vulnerability management, database activity monitoring, database audit, and virtual patching which ensured the protection of databases without any impact on performance or availability. The acquisition also enabled McAfee to expand its database security portfolio and eject comprehensive, industry-leading solutions to serve the rapidly growing database security market with the ten Cube Acquisition McAfee got the opportunity to make their hold on mobile security services. It also planned for the next generation mobile security. The Trust Digital Acquisition allowed McAfee to extend its services beyond traditional endpoint security and move further on mobile security.<br />
