Some may get turned-off by the word, testimonial, and in that case you could solicit their stories. You are in business, and a smart person will test everything - so test this approach and see what happens. When you tell them about the story you want, just mention that it is best to talk about certain things that really stand out, etc. Do not be worried about the possibility that somebody may be critical of you; just let it ride and see what happens. There is no specific length as to how long their 'story' can be, as long as they're providing a good testimonial highlighting the main points.<br />

Never overlook all you can do with good testimonials, and there are certain methods they can be used for other than all being on the "Testimonial" page of your site.<br />
