<div class='uawarticle'>There is a lot of evidence that there is a strong move towards global spirituality. Terms such as New Age and many different techniques and philosophies are being bandies about and seem to attract a lot of people. This is nothing new, of course. The history of the planet is rich with the search for spiritual meaning. Over the ages this search have led to bloodshed and revolution, but also provided millions with a common cause and belief system.<br />

It would be a very big mistake to confuse this transcendent trend with religion or with any specific faith. There is an argument to be made to include the various religions in the broader definition but they are by no means to only movements that can claim this title or definition. There are many other terms used, such as psychic awareness, divinity and even mysticism and in some cases these movements are frowned upon by traditional church structures.<br />

People searching for answers do not all search for the same answers. Everybody is unique and every person has unique needs. That is why there are so many different movements. None of them claim to have all the answers but they instead encourage people to experiment and to find something with which they can be comfortable and which satisfy their current needs.<br />

Alternative religions or belief systems have become extremely popular. Many people state that modern society is far too materialistic and that it offers no personal happiness and contentment. Many enthusiasts feel that they would much rather find self acceptance, experience personal growth and attempt to gain a better understanding of the universe as a whole. They often feel that personal fulfillment will lead to people understanding each other better and that this will ultimately lead to peace on earth.<br />

No single system is the same, but there are some common characteristics. In most alternative belief systems nature and the creation are seen as sacred and key to human survival and contentment. Most systems also encourage relaxation techniques and meditation, claiming that it is only possible to truly concentrate upon the inner being when the body is in a state of utter relaxation and focus.<br />

Alternative belief systems hardly ever claim that the path that they offer is long and arduous. The opposite is often true. They promise individuals that their systems are simple and that it can be mastered by anybody. Books, videos and group sessions are used to impart knowledge and insight. In certain parts of the world specific individuals have attained the status of enlightened profits.<br />

There are those that warn that these alternative belief systems are dangerous. They often base this warning upon their perception that the system is simplistic and that it makes unrealistic promises to followers. Some churches have also issued dire warnings and are of the opinion that people that follow these methods are setting themselves up for eternal punishment.<br />
<br />
<A href="http://www.theaquarianhypothesis.com">Global spirituality</A> is most certainly not a single movement, idea or philosophy. It rather spells a new awareness of the role that people are supposed to play on this earth. An increasing number of individuals are searching for inner happiness and ways in which to succeed differently.<br />
