<div class='uawarticle'>Have you done email copywriting before? If not, you might think it's easy! It is due to the brevity of the emails that people think they're not too hard to. Then of course there is the subject line which is just about forty characters or so. Obviously, this isn't as bad as it would seem - until you realize nobody is following the links that you provide. That is the sad tale of millions of IM marketers over the years since email was invented. Obviously, there is much more to say about this, and much of it is not publicly understood.<br />

When emails have images, you have to look at them by doing different things. As with most smart phones, and email clients, standard default mode does not allow you to see images right away. When I go into my email client, the images are only viewable once a certain bar is clicked. So if people get images, many of them may not actually look at them. If this is actually going on, adding images or graphics to your email may not be that beneficial. Anyone that wants to do this can, but you need to be smart about accomplishing this. It is possible to talk about the image directly in the email. When you discuss the image, people might actually look for it.<br />

You should test as many approaches in your email as you care to do. In fact, those who tend to do the best in IM are avid testers and frequently discover things on their own. By breaking your email list in so many parts, you can do a lot of split testing. You can actually dilute your results if you test the list and the parts are too small. Then you can send out promotional copy to one part, and then valuable content to the other and see what happens. By sending out different things to your list, you can find out what converts the most. All of this will help you get your email copy up to par, plus help you understand your audience and list.<br />

Each e-mail that you send should have a built-in call to action, asking them to click on a link and go to a certain URL. Throw into the mix and occasional but does not have a link and provides just information. Emails with links is usually the status quo, which means you should primarily send emails with links in them. Don't try to second-guess people. Just do what you think is right. Always use common sense and moderation - this will keep you safe. Too many calls to action, in any type of copy, will annoy the reader - so don't do it! All you really need to do is give it a shot. After a while, you will find the proper balance for sending out e-mails, and develop your own sense of good marketing judgment.<br />

There is a lot of truth in saying that email copywriting is an art form that only certain people possess. Finding and processing information is really what you need to do in regard to this. All you need is a little time and devotion to learning how to become a better writer and you will do just fine.<br />
