This simple word has been proven time and time again in various social experiments to have an extremely positive effect on influential power. Merely by using this word in the right circumstances, you will skyrocket your ability to gain compliance from you listeners.<br />

The word? Because. Conceivably because it triggers the ancient cause and effect circuitry in our minds put there through enormous years of slow change, this word can dramatically sway your conversation partner. It's as if our brains were crafted to go on auto pilot once we listen to this word, and accept anything that comes after it, as long as it is not outlandishly unacceptable.<br />

Consider this social experiment. A university sent a "student" to uncover a copying machine that had an extended line of individuals waiting to produce copies. First she simply asked if she could cut to the front of this line. The results? As you'd expect, she got a "yes" only about ten percent of the time.<br />

But then she changed the way she asked to cut in line. She said something along the lines of, "Can I cut in line, because my car is parked outside inside the red zone." The results? About seventy percent of the time, she was allowed to the front of the line. But hold on, you may say, this is a legitimate excuse. Having a car parked in the red zone which may be towed is the real reason she was allowed towards the front of the line, not due to some simple word, right?<br />

Well, they repeated the experiment, and this time she said something like,"Can I cut in line, because I've some copies to make." You've some copies to create? No kidding! Well, guess what? She was allowed to front of the queue about sixty percent of the time, when compared with ten percent when she only asked to make copies.<br />
<br />
The moral for the story? Whenever you desire to influence somebody of a concept, or convince somebody to take some form of action, thing of any reason, the more related the higher, to simply accept the thought or take the action.And the more "reasons" you possibly can come up with, the better it will likely be to steer your listener.<br />
