<div class='uawarticle'>Success<em> </em>is an evasive thing for most new MLM'ers and experienced ones too. This is oddly true, even despite the fact that multi level marketing firms typically conduct coaching on how to succeed.<br />

Sponsoring and prospecting is the number one topic of conversation at most conferences, conventions and webinars, yet the great majority of people never turn a profit in network marketing.<br />
<br />
So why is this?<br />
<br />
After a number of years of hearing about traditional recruiting techniques, I have come to understand why.<br />
<br />
<strong>Pitching the Products</strong> <br />
<br />
This one always left me amazed. You see, I joined network marketing to earn money. Most everybody I've ever spoken to in the business wants to make money. Folk search the internet trying to figure out how to make money. But what are we taught to pitch? The product. What's all over the company website? The product.<br />
<br />
So this creates an in-built problem. Logically, what makes us think that if somebody likes to diet, for instance, that they are interested in <em>selling</em> diet products? It makes little sense.<br />
<br />
If you're a good salesperson, and have a good product, you may sell a large amount of it. But those purchasers won't usually do the same, so you won't grow a downline.<br />
<br />
<strong>Bad Targeting</strong> <br />
<br />
So the base of this is that we are just taught to target market poorly. A basic sales fundamental. Identify your market, find them, sell to them.<br />
<br />
For example, if you sell farm tractors, your market is likely farmers. So you need to go get an inventory of farmers and sell them your tractors. But we're instead taught to sell tractors to folks who live in central New York. Got it?<br />
<br />
Now, to make this perfectly clear. I'm not saying your Grandma isn't the right target for your anti-aging cream. I'm saying that you aren't IN the lotion business!<br />
<br />
You're in the "growing a group of marketers" business. So your target prospect, unarguably, must be folks who want to recruit and build a team who want to do the same, all with the end objective of earning profits together.<br />
<br />
<b>Success in MLM - Now You are Prepared to Get Busy</b><br />
<br />
So with your new focus and new targeting, you're job just got much simpler. You now have identified what sort of person your marketing to. Stop promoting to those that don't fit your profile. Stop pushing the products.<br />
<br />
<strong>It's time to market. And online marketing is your key.</strong> <br />

I do not have to tell you that web marketing is gigantic. It's amazing. It's become the best way to market virtually anything. Targeting is straightforward. Your market place is trans-national. It's immediate. And done right it's inexpensive and effective. But you've got to do it right.<br />
<br />
Now, there are both paid advertising methods and free systems of gaining traffic, or prospects, that you're going to build up a list from. That list becomes your marketing vehicle to grow your network marketing business.<br />
<br />
So it's time to get busy. Learn internet promoting techniques like blogging, PPC ads, article promoting and social media promoting. Pick one system you like and focus on that strategy till you learn it and it becomes a profit center for your business, before you implement a 2nd strategy.<br />
<br />
