Google Adwords is no doubt the best known PPC advertising platform and has been for very many years, yet even though most have failed with it people keep trying. People tend to make campaign killing mistakes because they didn't properly prepare for what they were about to do. The rest of this article talks about three Adwords mistakes that can cost you dearly if you don't know about them.

Having a low daily budget for your campaign is also an AdWords mistake. Many believe that beginners should set a low budget so they can see what will and won't work before investing alot in their budget, this is an assumption you need to skip. You see the thing about it is, if you set your budget too low in the beginning phases your ads won't attract the attention you want because they won't even show up for your targeted keywords. So when your ads are not even showing up, how will you be able to garner enough clicks to test out your ads? If you notice that your ads aren't getting enough data to provide you with performance information you will need to increase your daily budget. Once you know what ads are converting and which offers are working out for you, it makes more sense to lower your budget.

Another mistake is to use Google's Content Network to display your ad. The Content Network is made up of sites who display Google Adsense on their sites. Adsense clicks may or may not be targeted traffic, and you can get a lot of people who are just surfing and clicking. The thing about Content Network traffic is it really tends to be less targeted, and you'll be spending money for little returns with that traffic source. You can best use your time with learning how to be competent with Adwords rather than messing around with the Content Network.

Finally, do not make the mistake of overstuffing keywords into a single ad group. Your continuous testing and changing of your AdWords advertisements will improve the performance of your ads. If you make the mistake of placing hundreds of keywords in the same ad group all of the clicks would go to only those popular keywords and the others would simply be ignored. You will be unable to discern from the data whether or not a particular keyword was drawing the attention you need. You need to make sure you aren't posting more than 10 or 20 keywords per ad group in order to get a more clear idea of how well they are performing for you. Now that you know which keywords are performing the best you can duplicate those results in other campaigns. A definate route to absolute failure is having too many irrelevant keywords in your ad group.

It is not difficult to side step the more commonly seen Adwords mistakes. One of the best ways to learn more, after you've read about the subject, is to just start getting experience. You have to take action, you know that, and that is why you just must get your experience.
