Perhaps you have dreamed of owning one of those featured blogs with a low Alexa ranking number and raving fans? If owning such a blog fits in with your hopes and desires, then this article is what you need to read. Well, if that is what you want to have, then how about if we get you on your way with making it happen?

Say Yes to Short Blog Posts: When you craft posts for your blog, they should be on target. They should be a shorten length so that you visitors will read and value them. In this day and time, people do not like reading long blog articles because they do not hold your interest. If you bore your readers with blog posts that are too long, they will lose interest and leave the page. Surely, this was not what you wanted to happen. The reason that might occur is because posts that are too long are not as attractive. They do not have the same type of everlasting effect as a post that gets in and gets out. Your post needs to be targeted and meaningful. If you have too much to say in one post, then break it down into many different posts. This will make things right on both fronts.

As far as linking to other sites, first - never do it too excess, and if you do make sure they are totally useful and related to your blog's topical theme. Sometimes you have no choice but to link to other websites or blogs, and you might do it for genuine reasons. The game plan for your blog is valuable information that is well-written, and that is what will help keep them returning for more. You can amass a tremendous amount of information in time, and of course that will attract a lot of people. The moment somebody has to click on multiple links to check out something, they lose interest in your blog. When you think about it, you would not normally link out right in the beginning of a post, anyway. However, remember these are not promotional links, but you must place them so people will read most of your post.

If you make it difficult for people to figure out where information is on your site, then that will not bode well for you. With the proper use of internal linking, your visitors should never experience a hard time with finding anything. When you follow proper planning, your posts will be easy to find in their respective categories. There are too many sites and blogs on the net that are not planned very well. The only way to really do this well is solid keyword research and planning out your categories.

You can discover much more on the subject of increasing the readership of your blog. The points that we discussed here are not that difficult to apply, as long as you're committed to taking action.
