Get the Worst Done First: One of the biggest challenges that you face when working with a to-do list is actually taking action. It's easy to lose your focus if you don't concentrate on taking regular and reliable action and you could wind up leaving a bunch of unfinished tasks on your list at the end of your day. Zeal for success and a high level of motivation are essential if you want to be able to combat this issue. Finishing the hard stuff before moving on to the easy stuff is a great way to build up this motivation. That's right - those items go at the top of your list and you need to take care of them first in your day. Because productivity levels and energy levels are highest at the start of your day the hard task will seem simple. And knowing that you're already done with the tasks you're dreading helps you feel better and makes it even easier to finish everything else on your list.<br />

Collect Your To-Do List: If you've got your tasks scattered all over the place, it's a lot harder to figure out what you need to get accomplished. Besides that, you will only focus on those items that will really help you accomplish your main goals. If you don't keep everything in one place, you will have to get them all together before you can actually figure out what needs to be done if you want to finish your project. It's fine if you have more than one to-do list, you just need to be able to focus on them one at a time. Not being clear is one of the biggest reasons that a person will have a difficult time in finishing their to-do list but you can only be clear once you've gotten all of your tasks together so that you can focus on the project as a whole.<br />

Have a Separate Section to Write Down Your Ideas: It is not unheard of to get inspired while you work on completing your to-do list--some of the ideas you get can even come with urges to work on them right then. However, you need to not give in here because this will take you away from your primary objective: finishing your to-do list. Instead of this, create a separate section where you can record your ideas and take notes when you feel like. You will have an easier time here because you'll still have the ideas to work on after you finish your current to-do list.<br />

Finally, the direction that you decide to move in needs to be very clear so that you know how to put in some real and regular action and feel, at the end of each day, like you have accomplished something as you finish each item on your to-do list.<br />
