Visualization is creating what you want in your mind and focusing your intention on it. This is a powerful process that lets you decide what you want and helps you to create it for yourself. Visualization is nothing new. We all do it every single day. Whenever we set out to do a task we often visualize what we want to happen.

When you buy groceries you have an image of yourself successfully completing that errand. You have a split second visualization of what the completion of that task will mean. A full fridge is your reward. You quickly fill in the gaps for what it takes you help you reach that goal. It only took a second and very little work, but you visualized what you wanted and made it happen. Visualization works for both these tiny tasks and for great big things as well. Visualization helps you imagine what you really want and helps you make it for yourself.

Before you can effectively practice visualization you have to have a clear idea of what you want. Small or large, you need a clear image of your desire. You can't have a clear picture in your mind of a general idea of what you want.

Create the right environment. To visualize, you have to really be able to focus on your ambition. Keep your attitude positive and sit in a calm environment. To relax, focus on breathing. Take deep breaths and focus on relaxation. Try to clear your mind completely.

Start visualizing. Once you have cleared your thoughts, begin to create your dream in your mind. Create a vivid image of your dream. Create every aspect of that image from the smell of the place to the taste in your mouth to the feel on your skin. Vividly imagine every possible aspect of your goal. Once you have created the image of what you want, put yourself right in the middle of it. See yourself doing what you dream of most. Then feel all of the feelings you will have when it truly happens.

Visualizing what you want helps to re-enforce your commitment to that desire. It is motivating to see yourself within your dream and makes it feel closer to reality. It feels closer if you can realistically see yourself getting what you dream of. To really be effective, someone should use visualization every day for fifteen minutes or more.

An important aspect of visualization is feeling. Feel the emotions you would feel when you reached that important goal. Would you go wild? Would you feel proud? Would you be shocked? Feel it all now. Feel them every time you imagine your goal. This makes your dream feel closer and helps you to reach harder for your dream and those accompanying emotions.

Believe it will happen. You have created a clear dream. You create that dream in your mind vividly every day. You know how you will feel when it happens. Now believe it. Believe it's going to happen. When you focus your energy on this thing you want and truly trust that it's coming, you can make it happen.
