There are enough challenges in online business without taking on more. Some, however, are worth the time you spend on them, like learning more about marketing. None of us knows all there is to know with web marketing, so you know there's room for growth. Even committing to learning two or three new items a week will add-up over a year. Imagine trying to learn more than one hundred and fifty new things about business every year. There is quite a bit that you can do with that--all of which should mean bigger profit.

Think about spending money on your IM education as an ongoing effort that comes with an ROI. This is the way it's done unless you have the money to outsource it all. You won't get everything you need from ebooks because there's a lot that's written in blogs and newsletters. So there's no escaping the fact that riding the wave of ongoing developments in marketing, sales, advertising and all else is crucial.

Boosting performance can be realized with the blog or site audit, and probably 99.5% of IM marketers are clueless about it. You can pay someone to do this for you, or you can discover and learn a new skill for yourself. When you get a professional site audit, you can use that information to pick apart your site and put it back together the right way. The goal is to check and see if your site is made to the known standards and information known about user behavior, etc. Of course if you are going to do this, then you need to find out what needs to be present in your website.

Are you tracking every marketing approach you're using no matter what it is or where? Google even has their own program that can be used for split testing your various pages, etc. Absent that, then your efforts will just be spinning their wheels and you'll be much more inefficient. Also, when you use tracking, you'll be able to test things and do split testing and get better results, but this is how you optimize your site pages, landing and squeeze pages, and all else.

Always track and test what you're doing, and this is more critical with things you have not used before. And you should always be testing all of your marketing and advertising efforts. So do more learning because this is barely anything at all other than an overview.
