I tell them the most effective way they have been doing this is through traditional SEO. This means either hiring someone to do it or simply by creating content. <br />

If you decide to hire someone your usually paying someone who is qualified in search engine optimization, PPC or pay per click and usually social networking. <br />

It's hard to find someone who understands the whole gamut but if you look closely you will find that most seo's don't understand the whole area of Social Media, they only get the search engine optimization part. Make sure you go online and google social media experts, social media consultant companies and anything in between. There is a lot of crap out there and with the new wave of technology everyone in their mothers think's their social media experts. <br />

Everyone thinks their a social media marketing guru. The truth be told, most people are barely jumping on board. They usually don't have the hands on experience like most of the veterans do. They are taking little snippets and claiming to be experts. Its not good when someone falls for their trap and ends up a victim of their shady business methods. Its not joke.<br />

I've personally myself have had clients come to me and ask me to help them after they were conned by a someone. This is usually after they have already payed thousands of dollars for either Google ad words or SEO work that never got done. <br />

Always make sure to Google who ever the hell it is your looking for. Here' what I say. Look for people who are credible. Companies that have worked with past clients that you can see their results. Make sure you do some due diligence yourself to find out what expertise the company has. Find out who they have worked with in the past and what it is they did for them. It's not hard to see how successful a company simply by looking at some of their past work.<br />

Also make sure to see if the company is using the latest technologies. I can tell you right now if they are not incorporating Online Video, Video SEO, Content creation and distribution then your probably wasting your time. Don't let companies try to sell you on things they really can't deliver. Again, if they don't have any proof your probably talking to one of those guys I told you about in the beginning. Don't get caught with your pants down. Don't jump the gun and sign up with the first best thing you here. Ask around, ask other companies who they have used. In all honesty most companies are barely starting so look for the solid expert or consultant who can guide you in the right direction to help you highlight you company to stand out. Start a niche and make sure to incorporate online Video. It's the final frontier of Social.<br />
