Education in Spain: early school leaving

Early education leaving dropped in Spain about three percentage points between 2009 and 2010, according to the Labour Force Survey supplied by the Secretary of State for Education and Coaching. It was confirmed that early desertion (people between 18 and 24 years studying in secondary schools and continues to form) has been reduced from 31.2% in 2009 to 28.4% in 2010. That is, a decrease of 2.8 points in the last year. Is this a good fact? Let's analyse it.

Authorities and learning in Europe

Spain also laid to school success (the gross rate of graduates in High schools) in addition has improved by 4.7 points between 2007 and 2009. Therefore, the quantity of graduates in compulsory secondary education in the country has risen from 69.3% in 2007 to 74% in 2009, or whatever it is, has reduced school failure from 30.7% in 2007 to 26% in 2009.

When we anayise these facts, we should think about policies. Spain attributed this success to the efforts of all society, the diverse administrations and typically measures, plans and programs which have been developed since 2006. Some results haven't yet correspond to the desired %s but they show that the tutorial system can walk in the correct direction. One of the main issue is if there is a success or simply words without value. Perhaps we are thinking about success when there's just folk entertained at the universities. It could be good to wait next year's results.

What about the future?

Education policies which are being implemented could permit early desertion is reduced between 2 and three points each year, so that by 2020, reaching the 15% target that Spain has set. Is this just disinformation or is this a fact? Is education like a safari in Spain? Perhaps we are talking about rates, but unemployment grows, also for graduated folk in shameful numbers. There are eight years for testing it.
