Who will be the people involved? Document the risks that may impede your progress. Describe what the opportunities are. Make a projection of your annual sales over the next five years.<br />

Try and keep everything organized at your home office. It's a good idea to get a whiteboard on your wall to keep you organized and write down ideas for your business. Keep your desk tidy and you will find it a lot easier to plan and complete tasks . Some people think a tidy desk helps productivity and they may have a point.<br />

Running any company can be stressful if you are not prepared but don't believe that all has to be perfect and have some flexible goals as it's better to learn from your errors rather than not meeting your problems head on.<br />

On a regular basis, go over the targets that you have laid out in your business plan. Look at your current working practices, and work out if they are cost effective. If they are not bringing you in money then it's time to change your business plan and try other things.<br />

Having an understanding of your potential clients is vital. Their spending patterns are important info that will influence your advertising plans. Once you understand your demographics you can better tap into that market.<br />

Join local network groups and get your message out there. Reply to questions in forums regarding your industry. Establish yourself as the local expert. This will take you some time but you can build up a solid long term reputation.<br />
