- Promote Yourself On the Front End. Sell Your Company Second.<br />

If you want to build your Stampin Up business online, keep in mind, people on the internet are NOT searching for a business to start such as Stampin Up. There's only one thing they're really looking for: Somebody who can guide them and lead them to success.<br />
<br />
Lead by emphasizing the value, skills and talents you offer personally. Don't lead online with your business opportunity! The internet is littered with amateurish network marketers who go on and on about how great their company is. They boast it has the greatest compensation plan, the greatest leadership team, the best product line, etc. And these hypey marketers fail to realize virtually no one actually cares about these details.<br />
<br />
Market yourself as a leader who can train pothers how to succeed. Create and promote videos, articles and blog posts wherein you teach network marketers strategies to grow their businesses. Then folks will respect you as the leader they seek. Some of your followers are going to ask to join your Stampin Up business.<br />

- Give Something Away<br />

There are two steps to generate leads for your Stampin Up opportunity:<br />
<br />
1. Drive network marketers to visit your website. Facebook, Twitter, Google and Youtube are all places where you can attract traffic if you learn some basic skills.<br />
<br />
2. Provide a valuable, downloadable guide in exchange for visitors' names and emails Make sure to focus your guide on solving one or more of the biggest problems in network marketing:<br />

- Too little revenue<br />
<br />
- Poor retention<br />
<br />
- Duplication levels are too low<br />
<br />
- Lead poverty, running out of people to approach about the business<br />
<br />

Wow your prospect by delivering a free offer that's better than they expect. Make this first impression with your prospects count, as it will influence your closing ratios of your Stampin Up business.<br />

By creating a powerful first impression, you are likely to sponsor a higher percentage of prospects into Stampin Up. To cultivate the relationship, email helpful tips to your prospects daily. At the close of each email, promote your Stampin Up business or other products and services.<br />

- Make Attrition A Non-Issue<br />

Attrition is one of the biggest problems Stampin Up marketers face. The two standard approaches Stampin Up reps are taught to boost retention create more problems than they solve. <br />
<br />
1) The first strategy is to assist your new Stampin Up reps to get into profit quickly, so they have reason to stay in the game. By attempting to get every new Stampin Up distributor making money right away, you end up devoting a HUGE amount of time on the people least capable of sponsoring new Stampin Up reps themselves. This takes focus away from your best people, the top 20% of your Stampin Up downline that will drive 80% of all your income. Spending most of your time on the weakest 20% of your people just fosters dependency.<br />

2) The second approach is to get your Stampin Up downline members to feel part of the team, something bigger than themselves, so they want to stay part of the group. Live team events, Stampin Up team conference calls, and one-on-one coaching can foster a sense of team. This strategy can foster dependency. Many of your weaker-performing team members will stick around because they like being part of the team...But these people will NOT sponsor others by themselves routinely into Stampin Up and will require LOTS of team support in order to stay in the game. <br />

You're a business owner, not a group therapist. A contrarian but effective approach to the attrition problem is to revise your business model not to boost retention, but rather to make retention much less important. To make retention less important to your business, promote affiliate products that can easily add a dozen or more new streams of income. By diversifying your revenue sources, you are not as reliant on Stampin Up for income. When you depend less on your downline for income, attrition matters less. Another solution to your attrition problem is to promote a high ticket direct sales opportunity (sometimes called a top tier) that pays commissions of $1000 or more per sale. Traditional network marketing opportunities like Stampin Up pay out only about $60-$120 per new signup, so you must develop a large team and residual check to make a substantial income. If you earn a commission of $800 or more each time you sponsor a new rep, it's like you're earning 3-4 years of residual income checks up front, so it doesn't matter if this new person quits, because you get paid so much up front. This approach makes attrition almost irrelevant to your business!<br />
