First and foremost, a business name should sound good, especially if it is said out loud. Saying words out loud is a test to see whether it is easy to say the name or if it sounds like a tongue twister. Also, when you say the name out loud, those listening to you should be able to understand what you said immediately.<br />

It is not advisable to use initials for a business name, because they tend to be boring. Although there are companies that have gotten away with using initials like IBM and 3M, keep in mind that these are multibillion dollar companies, and they have been running for decades! If you are just starting your business, it is best if you choose an interesting name and not initials.<br />

Business names should be specific and should convey to your potential clients or customers the types of products and services that you offer. In other words, if a client or customer reads your business name, they already have an idea what your products and services are even before inquiring.<br />

Choose a business name keeping in mind that the name will be permanent. Do not choose a name that does not have any meaning to you because it is so tedious to change business names once the company has started running.<br />

It is best to make a list of the potential names that you want for your business. When you have this list, test them out on Google AdWords. You need to find out whether there is already an existing business with that same name. If there is, you can either choose another name or tweak that name to make it slightly different.<br />
